Do You Know Kris Kristofferson’s Close Call in Breaking Bad?

Hey there! So, you know the show “Breaking Bad,” right? It’s like this really famous show about a guy named Walter White who starts doing bad stuff to make money. Well, guess what? There was this cool idea that almost happened in the show, but it didn’t end up in it. Let me tell you about it!

“Breaking Bad” stands as one of the most respected and well-loved crime dramas ever. It appeared at a time when lots of people could really understand the struggles of tough finances and how society’s rules seemed pretty unfair.

The show was on AMC and kept fans super interested for five seasons. The main characters just kept getting deeper and deeper into tough situations, all because they wanted to have enough money.

But guess what? Even though the show told us a bunch of stories, there were also some stories that never even got told. Imagine that! One story idea that was thought about at the start didn’t end up being part of the show.

Imagine if Skyler White (Anna Gunn) and Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) had met up with their dad! That dad could have been played by a really famous country music guy, Kris Kristofferson.

Skyler & Marie

You know Kris Kristofferson? He’s usually known for his awesome music, but he’s also been in some movies. Like, have you heard of the “Blade” movies?

He was in those! Plus, he showed up in a movie with Mel Gibson called “Payback” and another one in 1976 with Barbara Streisand called “A Star is Born.” So, he’s not just a singer, he’s a movie star too.

Okay, so here’s the cool part. The people making “Breaking Bad” thought about having Kris Kristofferson play a character in the show. This character would be a bit tricky and not so nice. He would make things up and not be very honest.

But you know what’s interesting? This character would help us understand Skyler and Marie better. Like, Skyler chose to be with a guy who’s really honest, but maybe she realized he’s not as honest as she thought.

But here’s the twist – this idea didn’t actually happen in the show. Even though it didn’t happen, we can still imagine it, right? Imagine Kris Kristofferson hanging out with the other actors in the show, like Danny Trejo and Jim Beaver. It would’ve been so cool to see how he would’ve acted with his daughters in the show.

So, even though this idea didn’t become real in “Breaking Bad,” it’s fun to think about how it could’ve been. And hey, that’s the magic of stories – there’s always more to imagine!

But, oh well, the person in charge of making the stories, Gennifer Hutchison, told Entertainment Weekly that this story was thrown out. It’s like when you decide not to wear a certain outfit because it just doesn’t match the rest of your clothes.

She said, “Nope, this story doesn’t go with the show.” She also said it didn’t have the same vibe. It was like trying to dance to a country song at a hip-hop party – just didn’t work.
