Reason Why Dee Was Edited Out of “The Challenge” Reality Show Explained

Have you heard of MTV’s epic showdown, “The Challenge”? It’s where past reality show stars battle it out in a massive competition. Picture all those big personalities crammed into one place – it’s intense! But sometimes, stuff from the real world spills into the show’s drama.

Let’s talk about Dee Nguyen. She totally rocked Season 34’s “War of the Worlds 2” and even scored a win. That was her ticket to return for Season 35’s “Total Madness.” But here’s the twist: her not-so-cool comments got her edited out of the competition.

Back in June 2020, when the whole Black Lives Matter movement was shaking things up, people showed support by posting black squares on social media. It was all about making space for Black voices.

But guess what? Dee didn’t exactly get the memo. Instead of joining the support wave, she kinda dissed it, saying, “All you posted was a black square and went about your day and posting your lame a– thirst traps. People are dying.” Ouch.

You’d think she’d step back, but nope. She added more fuel, saying, “People die every f–king day. U don’t know me or what I do. I suggest you wake the f–k up and get off social media.” Uh-oh, not cool.

Reality stars like Bayleigh Dayton, who was on “The Challenge” Season 35 with Dee, called her out online. Bayleigh was like, “Hold up! This ain’t how you support BLM. This is serious stuff, not a trend.” MTV was quick on its feet. Right after Bayleigh’s message, they gave Dee the boot from “The Challenge.” And guess what? They even edited her out of the June 10, 2020 episode. It was a pretty clear message – actions have consequences.

Bayleigh later explained on the “Challenge Mania” podcast that she didn’t exactly ask MTV to kick Dee out, but she understood why they did it. Dee did say sorry afterward, but it’s like some lessons just don’t stick. So there you have it, the wild ride of Dee’s journey on “The Challenge.” It’s a reminder that the things we say matter, especially when the world is watching.”

Dee Nguyen’s Troubles on The Challenge:

Well, her journey took some unexpected twists. She ended up making comments that hurt some folks and later had to say sorry. She told US Weekly, “I didn’t mean to hurt anyone with what I said. It was a quick reaction, and I didn’t intend for it to be mean.”

But, you know, words have power, and by that point, the damage was done. She even got edited out of an episode that aired on June 10. This move affected not only her but also Bayleigh Dayton, who got cut from a good chunk of the show as well.

Here’s the scoop: Dee and Bayleigh weren’t exactly best buds on the show. In fact, they had a physical clash. Dee decided it would be cool to throw stuff at Bayleigh, hit her, and even take things from her. Sounds like a real showdown, right? But what’s surprising is that these kinds of situations weren’t that rare during filming.

Now, Bayleigh, she’s got a positive outlook. She hoped that Dee could teach us all a thing or two about handling things when we mess up online. Bayleigh shared on the “Challenge Mania” podcast, “I wanted Dee to set an example. If she owned up and said, ‘I didn’t mean it that way, and I’ll do better,’ things might’ve turned out differently for her.”

Sadly, it seems Dee didn’t really learn from her experience on The Challenge. In 2022, she posted a TikTok where she laughed at a guy in a wheelchair who asked her to dance on a dating app. She was basically saying people in wheelchairs can’t dance. Not cool, right?

The guy she laughed at, Kyle Montgomery, spoke up on Instagram. He mentioned how Dee deleted the TikTok and blocked him afterward. With all these incidents, it’s not looking like Dee will be back on The Challenge anytime soon. It’s a reminder that what we say and do online has consequences, and maybe it’s time for some lessons in kindness and respect.
